I’ll be honest, I thought our social guys fucked up and put the wrong video – thought we were about to catch another sweet beach knockout video when I saw these two in the thumbnail.

But, nope – we switched gears real quick, and went straight into what could only be described as the most anxiety producing situation on Earth:

You, the ocean, and a large fin sticking out of the water in between you and the shore.

As someone writing this sentence on dry land inside of an office*, it would be easy for me to judge this guy for leaving his girl behind with the quickness.  But I can’t say I wouldn’t do the same in that situation.  Survival instincts kicking in, remembering the old saying: I don’t have to be faster than the shark…I just have to be faster than you.

(But seriously, this dude putting like 50 yards in between him and his girl with Julio Jones-esque separation speed made me LOL)

Also, we didn’t see the end of the ordeal (how the hell do you stop filming there?) – totally possible this ended with a Samuel L Jackson In Deep Blue Sea situation at the shoreline.

*To be fair to me, there is a shark-sized rat living in my bottom drawer eating all of my Unreal dark chocolate peanut butter cups and sunflower seeds.
